My 2cents is like everybody mentioned they probably used miniguns, laser miniguns, plasma casters, plasma defenders, Gaussguns, Missile Launchers and the Fatman, the last one makes a lot more sense when you consider Power Armors are one of the most Rad Resistant armors/outfits of all the game.
